Air Fried Mushrooms

Since getting an air fryer this past year, Emanuel and I have enjoyed using ours, often. We love it because it takes the mess out of frying and produces little smell from cooking. We live in an apartment so it's easy to envelop the house with a fried food smell, when we fry food the traditional way, so the air fryer has been a great tool in our kitchen.

We have also been getting really experimental with the ingredients we have been air frying, which is how we came up with this recipe for our Air Fried Mushrooms. This dish is great to have as a side or eat alone. Emanuel loves to have these mushrooms by themselves as a snack dipped in his favorite condiment vegan ranch.
This dish has a savory, juicy, full-bodied taste. I love the slightly tangy taste that the ranch powder gives. It's that extra bite that just keeps you coming back for more. This side dish can be made in about thirty minutes and can be the appetizer or side dish your meal was asking for.
We like to use whole mushroom caps for this recipe, though you are welcomed to use slices if you want. We also prefer to mix these ingredients by shaking them in a covered bowl. I think it's easier to get some of the water out of the mushrooms without breaking the mushroom caps. The ranch powder dip mix we use is from Kroger. The teal package of Ranch Dip Mix is vegan, compared to a darker blue mix which is not, so make sure you pick up the teal-colored packet.
